We are not tied to any software house and so will recommend the best solution to meet your requirements and budget.

The main software houses we deal with for Business Start-Ups and Small Businesses are:

Intuit QuickBooks     Sage     Microsoft Office Accounting

Each of these four software houses produce both accounting and payroll software packages, the accounting software comes in various editions.

These editions start from a very basic edition, moving up to editions containing more features.  Upgrading to the higher editions is easy to do when you require those extra features.

We would always recommend that the payroll software comes from the same software house as your accounting software.  Software houses always ensure that their payroll software links into their accounting software, this cuts down on entering payroll journals, etc.

The most common packages being used by our clients is Intuit QuickBooks and Sage.  Obviously, we are human and do have our favourite software, this being Intuit QuickBooks.

Despite our FREE consultation, a lot of clients choose Sage as that's what's recommended by their Accountant.  Years ago, there was only Sage and Pegasus to choose from, and as Accountants are so familiar with Sage, they like to recommend it, it's easier for them if clients are all using the same.

This does not mean that it's best for the client though.

We can come into your business to give you a FREE Consultation, looking at your requirements, working out which software solution would be best for you, giving you all the advantages and disadvantages.

For all the above software, you can order FREE Demo or Trial disks of the software to be sent to you from our Software page.

Once you have decided on your solution, we can provide you with our Implementation (Installation and Setup) services, Training and Support (including FREE Telephone Support, subject to our Terms of Use).

 

We provide the following services:

Consultancy.  We can look at your present setup and your future requirements to make independent recommendations for a solution to meet all your accounting and payroll needs.

Project Management.  We can act as a Project Manager between you, the client, and a third party software house for installing and setting up a new larger accounting software package such as Exchequer Enterprise, Pegasus Opera or Access Accounting.

Implementation.  We can install (or upgrade), setup and train you on your chosen solution according to a plan of action to fit in with your normal working pattern.  This work can be fitted in at Weekends and evenings, if required.

Installation and Setup.  If required, we can install and setup any upgrade or new accounting / payroll software, enter all the preferences into the software, transfer any data (if possible) from existing software and enter the Opening Balances to get your accounting software started.

Training.  We can provide you (and / or your staff) all the required training to use your accounting and / or payroll software.  This is normally done in short sessions spread over the required number of weeks using your own paperwork in your own offices, so that you can relate the training to your own business.

On-site Support.  We can also provide on-site support for helping you through various accounting / payroll tasks.

Telephone / E-mail Support.  Most importantly for all clients is Telephone / E-mail Support.  Subject to Terms and Conditions, this is generally FREE for 99% of clients.  Providing the query you have has been covered during your training, the Telephone / E-mail Support is FREE.  This support could just be to 'hold your hand' whilst you carry out a task to give you re-assurance.

Remote Assistance.  We can install a small FREE software package which allows us remotely to access your computer to either sort out any queries, or to watch what you are doing when things are going wrong.  We would only access your computer with your authority and you can always tell when we are accessing your computer.

Management Accounts.  Get all your business financial information on a monthly basis, such as more detailed Profit and Loss reports.  This can be done using Excel spreadsheets.  You can either do this yourself each month, or use our services.
